Most importantly the Form 201, along with other selected forms, continues to function as the IAP during the transition, and continues to be updated until the IMT, under the new Incident Command and IMT staff, generates first comprehensive IAP using the Operational Planning Process.

This Briefing is also suitable for all incoming individuals newly assigned to the incident, including: Incident Command and General staff, incoming tactical resources, and, assisting/cooperating agencies.
