Isolate the access to the hazard area

Once you are comfortable with your own safety situation:

• Ensure everyone else has safely evacuated the scene; and
• That no one else enters the un-safe area; and
• Monitor until Emergency Response arrives

To monitor the un-safe area, you may:

• Stand guard
• Set up barriers
• Close road access
• Turn-on local warning systems/lights/alarms
