Operations Briefing Overview - Incident Command Post (ICP) & Field

Approximately 30 minutes

Purpose

  1. Present the IAP to the Operations Section oncoming shift supervisors and other Command & General Staff personnel.
  2. After briefing has occurred and during shift change, outgoing supervisors should be interviewed by their relief and by Operations Section Chief (OSC) to confirm accomplishments and validate work assignments.

Agenda

  1. Discuss the new IAP with incoming field operations personnel.
  2. Provide opportunity for field personnel to gain clarity regarding objectives, work assignments, resources necessary, support issues, and safety and/or environmental considerations for the next operational period.
  3. Provide opportunity for Command & General Staff to provide clarification to field personnel regarding critical management issues.
