Incident Action Plan Preparation - Work Period

Purpose

  1. Appropriate IMT members must immediately complete the assigned task/products that are needed for inclusion in, and/or approval of, the IAP. These products must meet the deadline set by the PSC so that Planning can assemble the IAP components.
  2. The deadline must be early enough to permit timely Incident Commander/ Unified Command (IC/UC) review, approval, and duplication of sufficient copies for the Operations Briefing and other IMT members.

Critical Work Activities

  1. Ensure IAP and supporting plans are finalized and incorporate any changes identified in the Planning Meeting.
  2. Set time to meet with IC/UC to review changes to IAP and gain approval of IAP (with IC/UC signatures) for Operations Briefing.
  3. Make appropriate number of copies of IAP for Operations Briefing.
  4. Utilize IAP Approval Checklist in Section 9.
