• Review common and leadership responsibilities.
• Receive initial briefing from the Logistics Section Chief (LSC).
• Obtain work materials.
• Determine initial support required for operations in coordination with the LSC and Service Branch Director (SVBD).
• Determine the Support Branch organization and staffing level required to support operations.
• Prepare initial organization and assignments for support operations.
• Assemble and brief Support Branch personnel on the incident details and your expectations.
• Prepare Security, Transportation, Traffic and Vessel Routing Plans as required by the incident.
• Determine if assigned Branch resources are sufficient.
• Track progress of Branch and unit work and inform the LSC of their activities.
• Resolve problems associated with requests from the Operations Section.
• Maintain Form 214a Individual Log and forward to Documentation Unit Leader (DOCL) for disposition.
