Division/Group Supervisor
Responsibilities
A division is an organizational level with responsibility for operation within a defined geographic area. A group is established to divide the incident into functional areas of operation and are composed of resources assembled to perform a special function not necessarily within a single geographic region. Divisions/groups are located between Branches (when activated) and strike teams/task forces or single resources in the Operations Section.
The Division/Group Supervisor (DIVS) reports to the OSC (or OC or OPBD when activated). The DIVS is responsible for the implementation of the assigned portion of the Incident Action Plan (IAP), assignment of division/group resources, and reporting on the progress of operations and status of division/ group resources.
